Five weeks in and I’m exhausted!
I’ve spoken to my other half quite a lot over the past month, and she seems nice – especially now my to-do list from her is finally reducing. I’ve almost gone full circle, I’m touching up the jobs I first started at the very start of this lockdown!
Unfortunately the calories I’m burning in productivity are no match for those consumed in cake. As soon as I tick something off, I’m rewarded with something deliciously homemade. It really is a blessing and a curse, this baking is incredible but it’s doing nothing for my waistline.
And let’s not forget we are all still busy with our day jobs too, the responses to my last email in particular highlights that we’re all in the same boat. I for one am trying to juggle design work with home-schooling, DIY and this ‘hour of exercise’ the government keeps telling me I should be doing.
I know for many of us, this is the rare time at home we’d all wished for. I’ve dreamt of it for a long time and I’m trying to make the most of it. But I never thought it would involve so much multi-tasking!
And so my isolation motivation is starting to dwindle. It’s all very well staying safe, but when can I go back to work please?
How’s ‘lockdown’ treating you?
If I can help with any kitchen stuff, reach out and let me know! The IPS Team are all still working from home on designs and plans when we can escape unnoticed.
If not, then try and stay sane, we’re in this together!
